Voice and text

Speech recognition and text cleanup run locally. Sayble does not send your recordings or transcripts to a cloud transcription service. The current dictation flow does not provide a saved dictation history.

Putting text into your apps

Sayble uses macOS Accessibility and, when needed, the system clipboard and simulated paste to insert text into the focused field. That destination app receives the text and handles it under its own privacy policy. A clipboard manager may also observe clipboard-based insertion.

Model downloads

The speech model is downloaded from Hugging Face using FluidAudio. The download provider receives normal connection information, including your IP address. Audio and transcripts are not part of that download request. Once the model is installed and ready, dictation can work offline.

Data on your Mac

Speech models are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Sayble/Models/. App preferences are stored locally. To remove the app and its models, follow the uninstall instructions.

Permissions

Microphone access enables recording. Accessibility and Input Monitoring support the global key and text insertion. You can revoke permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Analytics, licensing, and updates

The current build has no implemented analytics, payment, license activation, or automatic update service. The product policy requires explicit opt-in before any future anonymous event analytics. Any future license activation or update downloads must be explained here before launch.

This website

This website does not include a mailing-list form, advertising pixels, or a product analytics script. The hosting service processes connection data, such as IP addresses and browser request details, to serve the site and downloads. Its handling is described by the hosting provider’s privacy policy.

During early access, contact the person who sent you this link. Do not send recordings or transcripts that contain private information. Dedicated support and seller details will be supplied before any paid release.
